Picoway Resolve
What is PicoWay Resolve?
PicoWay Resolve is an FDA-approved picosecond laser that treats acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, melasma, dullness and pigmentation.
The PicoWay laser uses high power picosecond laser pulses that transform your skin using photoacoustic energy rather than photothermal energy. This rejuvenates your skin from the inside out by stimulating collagen and elastin production and shattering unwanted pigmentation without causing damage.
How Can It Be Used?
PicoWay Resolve laser treatments can treat dullness, wrinkles, uneven tone, texture, skin laxity, melasma, redness, rosacea, and overall signs of aging. Your treatment provider will work with you to develop an effective treatment plan that addresses all of your skin concerns.
The PicoWay laser can also treat various pigmentation spots on the body.
PICOWAY PRE/POST CARE
WHAT TO EXPECT
Prior to treatment, the targeted areas will be numbed. During treatment, you may feel warmth or light scratching. Frozen C Cryotherapy may be applied post laser treatment to calm the skin and soothe redness. The treated areas may feel tight and like they are sunburned post treatment. You should expect redness and possible swelling on the treated area for about 1-2 days post treatment. Itchiness and bumpiness may occur at treatment site due to collagen stimulation.
PRE CARE
Avoid exfoliating and using any harsh ingredients on the treated area for 48 hours after treatment. Hydrocortisone cream 1% can be used if itchiness occurs. Ice can be applied to ease any discomfort. You should avoid direct sunlight to the treated area and apply sunscreen daily. You may apply makeup 24 hours post treatment. Retinol products should not be used one week before or after treatments.
POST CARE

NEXT TREATMENTS
Treatments should be scheduled every 4-6 weeks. A consecutive series of 3-6 sessions is recommended depending on the severity of damage to the skin. After desired results are achieved, treatments should be scheduled every 6 months to maintain results.
